When you have a lot of heroes that are infected, you have 3 things to worry about.įirst, when you send the uninfected heroes into the same facility as the infected ones, there is a high chance they will get infected. I'll go out on a limb and say those are more dangerous than the enemies of the dungeon you are going to, especially the Cavaliers that can output massive amounts of damage, and the overall infection other CC enemies can cause, which can quickly put you into a tight spot.Ģ) That tight spot. Right now, however, it’s just kind of a slog through Darkest Dungeon’s oppressive love taps. It's really up to you, but I'd recommend not turning on CC for the first playthrough.Ĭrimson Court is very hard to manage if you are new to the game, considering 2 things:ġ) CC enemies in regular dungeons. Hopefully, in the future, it will be much more balanced and live up to its potential. Red Hook is actively updating the expansion content based on player feedback, and have been since its release. The expansion isn’t all bad, with the additional content and mechanics themselves being interesting and unique additions to the game. As end-game content, the process of completing it can become a grind, which takes away from the tension Darkest Dungeon carries so well with its initial design. In combination with the base game, it can make progression exceedingly hard, if not outright impossible for some. It’s in that same vein that, if you played the original game and thought that it was too difficult, The Crimson Court expansion probably isn’t for you either. If you’re the kind of person that complains about games being hard, or unfair in their mechanics, then Darkest Dungeon probably isn’t for you.
